PAUL E. THIBODEAU

Funeral services for Paul E. Thibodeau were held Saturday, June 26, at St. mary’s church with the Rev. William V. O’Connor officiating.  Christopher and John Henderson, grandsons, served as altar boys.  Members of the Knights of Columbus met at the funeral home Thursday evening and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus members, Friday evening.

Mr. Thibodeau, 78, died at his home on 17 Wood St. June 23.  He was born in Bradley Aug. 7, 1897, the son of Paul and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Thibodeau.

He was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, the Knights of Columbus Council, and the Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus.  He worked for more than 30 years for the Brewer Manuacturing Co. of Old Town and was a master plumber in old Town for 40 years.

His survivors include his wife, Gladys (Gonyer) Thibodeau; five sons, Robert, Ray, Lester, Harold, and Edward, all of Old Town; four daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Gladys) Henderson, Mrs. Bernard (Margaret) Deschanes, Mrs. Norman (Regina) Deschaine, all of Old Town, and Mrs. Edward (Geneva) McNeeley o Dover, Mass.; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Ross and Mrs. Amelia Monk, both of Rumford, and Mrs. helen Cook of Springfield; a brother George Thibodeau of Rumford; 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Lawndale Cemetery.

Bearers for the funeral were grandchildren, Francis, Steven, Bruce, James, Paul, and David Thibodeau.
