Sarah Hartley, 94, of Maxwell, died Saturday, Jan. 10, at Story Long Term Care in Nevada. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Maxwell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don Burket officiating. Burial will be in Maxwell Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Ben (JaAnn) Hartley of Ankeny; and five daughters, Florence Wheeler of Cambridge, Patricia Taylor of Maxwell, Alice Kahlor of Cambridge, Louise Burandt of Buffalo, Minn., and Linda Eden of South Amana; and a daughter-in-law: Waneva Hartley of Nevada.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell, with the family present between 6 and 8 p.m.
Bacon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Folded, in the back of Katie’s scrapbook, from her grandma, is this piece of paper.  I didn’t have Sarah’s paternal grandparents, in my PAF.

After we added these grandparents to Katie’s pedigree, we tried to find some Google Juice.

In the Brownbridge Family Genealogy Forum, we found this:

I think I am a relative. My gggrandfather was William Brownbridge who was born in 1821 in Snaith, Yorkshire England. He had a younger brother James who was born in 1830. Their father was a Thomas Brownbridge who married a Ann Blacker. Thomas the father did not come to the USA. I am related to William’s daughter Annie Brownbridge George. William did come to the USA only about 30 years later. If we make a match, I would love to share information with you. Nancy

After I left a reply, for Nancy Day, asking for a confirmation of dates, for Annie, I found that Nancy has also posted in the Teed Family Genealogy Forum.

That was confirmation, to me, that Nancy descends through the same line as my children’s father.

Today’s searching, gifted us two more generations, behind Annie.  How exciting!
